Basic Formation Against Astral/Crimson

The above pictures provide a rough idea of two basic formations against Crimson/Astral.

Principally, these bosses special attacks can inflict at least one of the three types of negative status unto your character/party. I still don't know what are the impacts of these three negative status skills yet, but as I recalled, Crimson's/Astral's negative status skills are not too damaging/dangerous.

Luring Astral/Crimson into the tiny bridge is a good strategy, because it won't risk your character/party from the onslaughts of other monsters. Monsters would not intelligently/automatically walk/roam into the bridge area, ...well.... that's because these monsters are set/programmed that way. The only exception is if you or other player has lured/attracted the monsters, in which case the monsters will chase the player even into the bridge area until the player either:
  • outruns the monster
  • kills the monster
  • killed by the monster
  • teleports to another user
  • returns back to campus with the Return Campus Card
  • logout
  • alt + f4 (forced quit the game application)
In short, you are basically safe from monsters' attacks when you are deep enough somewhere on the middle of the bridge. Deep enough that you don't lure monsters' attentions outside of the bridge.

MUST #1: the player/s to lure Crimson/Astral are those with: high hit points, high upgraded armors, high dex, those with Item Mall equipments to quickly regenerate hit points, pet skill to regenerate hit points, and those with lots of HP pots.

MUST #2: your party should consist of at least 1 QiGong/Shaman (preferably one that masters the essential INT skills). Note that Negative Status Skills from the ATT class are not useful against Astral/Crimson aside from Scroll of Stone. Even so, often times Scroll of Stones would not be able to cast temporary paralysis/stone to Astral/Crimson. The QiGong/Shaman should have a Hit Point (HP) anywhere from 1750 and above, so that this character does not die too quickly.

MUST #3: your party is comprised of at least six players with a minimum level of 165, but preferably seven to eight players with a minimum level of 165. Your equipments (clothings/armors) should preferably be a minimum of +4 & above, and your equipments should either be A Lvl. Mil, or Lvl 155/165 equipments.

MUST #4: Stock up on your HP & MP pots prior to engaging Astral/Crimson, it's best if you save either at Middle Hole or Prison, because you could restock faster & cheaper.

MUST #5: Team Work, Cooperation, Partnership, Solidarity, Sportsmanship, Focus !!

Well, these are the 5 Musts, there are other strategies and considerations when fighting Astral/Crimson. But where is the fun in knowing everything without trying it first, right? Sometimes it is really much better to learn from one's own experience, then to merely depend on the easy way out (or a shortcut).

When you play ANY online games long enough, you will be able to differentiate a SUPERB player from just an ordinary good player.

A character that you play, to a certain extent, reflects your real characters. A glimpse or a reflection into who you really are. If you can't treat other players with basic decency and respect, you will soon live with the fact that
you will soon run short of cool and good friends real fast.. The same philosophy goes if you can't treat yourself with basic decency and respect.

Have fun, work/study hard, play hard, rest sufficiently, and be cool !!
